The Summary: Quantifying Your Experience
Should I include a summary? What makes this stand out?
Answer
Some recruiters love them, some don’t notice. For those who do read them, stick to specific, quantifiable characteristics. Seasoned (with Old Bay?), accomplished (How do we know?), and affable (Says who?) are not specific enough. “Five years of experience,” “increased grants received by $500,000,” and “led teams of three to five analysts” are the details that give us a sense of your skills, results, and scope. If you don’t have hard details, drop this section.
