Lap It Up

By The Editors
Laptops are the modern-era workhorse. We expect them to carry the load of our daily duties—from organizing this week’s Mp3 playlist to next year’s budget. Isn’t it time to show them a little TLC? We searched high and low to find four bags that’ll ensure you roll up to your next meeting with style and with your trusty steed in one piece.

1.  STELLA MCCARTNEY FOR LESPORTSAC, Classic Carryall ($225)
LeSportsac might be known for classic, no-frills nylon bags, but since pairing up with trendy designers such as Diane von Furstenberg and Gwen Stefani, it has successfully gone high fashion. This season it teamed with Stella McCartney to produce bags such as the Carryall—which, along with your laptop, will carry pretty much anything else you need to tote.

2.  JACK SPADE, Waxwear Computer File Case ($395)
Don’t let bad weather cramp your style. Waxwear is paraffinsoaked cotton, which means it’ll hold up to whatever Mother Nature has in store for your next business trip. Plus it’s easy to keep looking like new—a simple application of heat erases any creases or marks.

3. TUMI, T-Pass Soft Laptop Attache ($175)

You can’t avoid airport security, but you can avoid taking your laptop out of its case every time you pass through. The T-Pass meets TSA requirements, allowing security to scan your computer through its case, saving you time and angry grumbles from travelers in line behind you.

4.  COACH, Willis Bag ($298)
When it comes to fashion-forward bags, Coach is a benchmark. What’s great about this glove tanned leather briefcase is that it has all the sophistication and craftsmanship you’d expect from Coach without screaming “I’m a Coach bag!” It features a turn-lock closure to keep your laptop secure, and an adjustable, detachable strap.
