Slowing to a Hault

How do you know when your career is stagnating?

Answer

Update your resume every few months.  If you have nothing new to say, no new skills or achievements, then you are stagnating.  This doesn’t mean you need to leave your job but it may indicate you can take on more or look into extra training.  Many companies offer general business training (e.g., presentation skills, communication skills) or technical training (e.g., accounting, computer software), or money to pay for outside training.
