Deloitte Consulting

Company Overview

Highlights

Strong focus and deep expertise in operations consulting. Ranked 18th on Fortune’s 2007 list of the “100 Top MBA Employers.”
In 2007, Deloitte was named to Working Mother’s “100 Best Companies for Working Mothers” list for the 13th consecutive year, and recognized as one of the “Best Business for Multicultural Women.”

Deloitte Consulting is part of the global professional services organization Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu International. It serves clients in nearly 150 countries. The firm offers its clients a selection of service lines that include enterprise applications, human capital, strategy and operations, and technology integration. It focuses on nine industries: aviation and transport services; consumer business; energy and resources; financial services; life sciences and health care; manufacturing; the public sector; real estate; and technology, media, and communications. Deloitte Consulting had a plan in place to separate from the tax and audit group and rename itself Braxton, after its strategy group, but the plans were abandoned in 2003, and all units combined under the Deloitte name. Deloitte Consulting has since been reintegrated into the parent firm, and corporate leadership has been aligning the practices to effect seamless delivery of services across borders and service lines. But the lines between auditing and consulting areas are clearly drawn: Deloitte Consulting does not do business with Deloitte & Touche audit clients.
